Iuliia Nogina is originally from Kazakhstan and grew up in Kurgan, Russia. She received a specialist diploma from the Department of French Linguistics and Education at Kurgan State University. Iuliia has one academic year as an exchange student and Russian language assistant with Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. She has been in Madison since 2015 and started working as a tutor in 2016 with the Russian Flagship Program. Iuliia has been working with students for over 10 years, starting when she was a university student in Russia. She has served as translator and interpreter for different international meetings and events. Iuliia enjoys studying foreign languages and is excited to continue working at UW-Madison helping students in her new role.
