Program Officer – U.S. Central Asia Research Network

American Councils for International Education seeks an organized, energetic, flexible, committed individual to serve as Program Officer for the U.S.-Central Asia Research Network (U.S.-CARNet). Funded by the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek, CARNet will create a dynamic network of U.S. and Central Asian scholars committed to collaborating on objective, rigorous research on China’s foreign policy and related activities in Central Asia. To do so, the program will enable U.S. and Central Asian scholars of China to engage in dialogue and shared research through a series of online lectures, professional development programs, conferences, and research tours. As part of the program, six Central Asian scholars of China will be matched with U.S. faculty at Title VI Centers for a semester. The program also provides for the publication and distribution of a bound volume of US-CARNet scholars’ joint research.
