Film Screening: Leto

Join us for a virtual screening of Leto, a 2018 Russian musical directed by Kirill Serebrennikov that depicts the underground rock scene of Leningrad in the early 1980s. This screening is open to all UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff and will be screened in Russian with English subtitles. Please make sure to register in advance.
Please note that this screening will be followed (on Monday, March 1) by a talk and Q&A with musical journalist and author Artemy Troitsky, who will discuss the underground rock movement in the Soviet Union, including his personal experience with Victor Tsoy and the iconic band KINO. The talk is co-sponsored by the Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia and will be conducted in Russian. Please make sure to register in advance.
