    The Department of Slavic Languages and Literature offers instruction over a broad range of languages, literatures and cultures from the Slavic world. Among the languages taught regularly are Czech, Polish, Russian, and Serbian/Croatian.
  • Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia
    The Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia is one of the premier institutions in the world for research and training on the Eurasian region. CREECA's mission is threefold: to support faculty research across a range of disciplines on Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia; tsupport graduate and undergraduate teaching and training related to the region; and to serve as a community resource through outreach activities targeted to K-12 teachers and students, other institutions of higher education, business, media, government, and the general public.

    Go Global! is a University of Wisconsin-Madison based information resource for students, alumni, and others exploring their options to work internationally, both here in the United States and abroad.
  • The Language Institute
    The University of Wisconsin-Madison is an international leader in foreign language education and research, offering instruction in dozens of modern and ancient languages. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is home to eleven internationally prominent departments of languages and literatures, eleven prestigious area studies centers, intensive summer programs in many less commonly taught languages, and the Russian Flagship Center. Students at UW-Madison can apply to over 200 study abroad programs to every continent of the world except Antarctica. Drawing on the wealth of these departments, centers and programs, the Language Institute promotes collaboration for research, education and community outreach in languages, literatures, and cultures.

    International Academic Programs (IAP), in the Division of International Studies, plays a central role in the international excellence of the UW-Madison campus and community. IAP's Mission is to serve and support UW-Madison academic departments and other units in their internationalization strategies and goals by providing high-quality study abroad opportunities that foster academic development and personal growth in UW-Madison students.

  • International Learning Community
    The International Learning Community (ILC) is a residential program at UW-Madison, which recognizes the residential halls as one of the key venues for integrated learning initiatives. The general aim of the International Learning Community is to connect in and out-of classroom experiences and bring faculty and students together, with the purpose of enhancing foreign language skills and gaining critical understanding of world cultures.

    The Office of Admissions and Recruitment is here to assist as you prepare to become a future Badger.
  • Office of Financial Aid
    The Office of Student Financial Aid assists students whose personal and family resources are not adequate to cover the costs involved in attending UW-Madison by: processing financial aid forms to determine eligibility for grants, loans, and work-study employment; advising students regarding financial aid and money management; providing information on part-time employment, both on- and off-campus; and offering assistance in obtaining information about scholarships.

    The Undergraduate Academic Awards Office is a resource center for UW undergraduates and recent graduates interested in applying for campuswide awards and nationally competitive scholarships for research, service, leadership, and scholarship - activities at the heart of the Wisconsin Experience.

    The purpose of the Russian Student Association is to coordinate Russian-related activities on campus and to promote awareness of Russian Studies at UW-Madison.

  • WISc Scholars Program
    WISc is an undergraduate honors enrichment program for students interested in global affairs, cultures, and languages. The goal of the WISc program is to build global competence and citizenship for undergraduates from a variety of disciplines and majors.
  • Russian Folk Orchestra
    The Russian Folk Orchestra, now in its 16th season, is a unique ensemble performing Russian and other East-European folk music on authentic Russian instruments, balalaikas and domras.
