Intensive U.S. Summer Programs

UW-Madison Russian Flagship students may choose to study intensive Russian during the summer to fulfill requirements and develop proficiency. 

The UW-Madison Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic offers Intensive First, Second and Third-Year Russian over the summer.

Flagship students may take summer courses through other U.S. summer intensive programs such as the Russian Language Institute at Bryn Mawr College; Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian at Middlebury College; Summer Workshop for Slavic and East European Languages at Indiana University; and the Center for Language Studies at Beloit College.

Language Flagship Scholarships for intensive summer study of Russian in the United States may be available only for Flagship-designated programs:
